Each week Annie Schiffmann hops on Instagram Live to find out what you learned this week and share what she learned about social media for theater and running your own business. It’s called What I Learned This Week. You can play along by using #WLTW and sharing what YOU’VE learned!
Links in Your IG Stories Without Being Verified
If you are verified on Instagram, or if you have more than 10,000 followers you can post a link in your Instagram Story. But did you know that if you have a video in IGTV you can link to THAT in your Instagram Story - no matter who you are. This is a great way to use the Stories feature to bring light to content that is simply sitting there in IGTV. It’s also a great way to come up with content for your Instagram Story, if you don’t have any ideas.
Mari Smith and Wave.video have a contest
You’ll see on social media for the next 30 days that Downstage will be using the hashtag #WaveVideoADay. That’s because Wave.video - a super simple video platform that we use for all of our clients - launched a contest this week and that hashtag is the entry. For the next 30 days we are going to be creating videos and posting them every day on Facebook for a few reasons 1) to see how that changes engagement and use that information for our clients’ benefit 2) there are some fun prizes involved that we wouldn’t turn away 3) challenges like these are always helpful to stretch our creativity a bit more. Something we are obviously all for at Downstage!
Squarespace + Chatbot Lead Magnets
If you have a website with Squarespace you know that downloading a lead magnet can be a little clunky. This week we learned that if you put that lead magnet inside a FB Messenger Bot and then attach that to button it makes for a smoother user experience. Try it!
Join in the fun!
