Annie Schiffmann, I help small businesses simplify their social media and email so they can save time.
2. What problem do you or your company solve?
My company, and I, Downstage Media, help you create, vary, and automate your content so you can do what you like to do.
3. Who is your ideal customer/client?
A small business owner who is really kinda harried. Or a marketing company that creates social media and email content for its clients.
4. Name a business book or podcast you think is worth reading/listening to?
How to Grow Your Small Business would have been pretty helpful to have five years ago when I was first setting up Downstage Media.
5. Name a Linkedin connection you’re glad you have.
Everyone needs someone in their corner like Marc C. Angelos. And everyone needs his sales advice too. That guy has brought in millions for bigtime financial companies.
6. What’s your favorite type of content to consume from brands?
Live events. As an extravert, I can’t get enough of being around you!

Webinars. I love using improv game to keep them fresh. When something is happening live I want people there - not watching the replay!
8. What is your biggest challenge in creating, consistent and valuable content?
Not publishing too quickly. I am often on to the next thing.
9. Who is your favorite animated character?
Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I mean, she's French, she reads. She is strong enough to lift a comatose beast onto a horse. She can waltz. I mean...
